Sheri Easterling and Yung Gravy have reportedly broken up 2 months after their PDA-filled red carpet debut at VMAs 2022. Here’s all we know.
Sheri Easterling, the mother of famous TikTok star Addison Rae, made headlines in August when she walked the red carpet at the Video Music Awards 2022 with her new boyfriend Yung Gravy. Easterling’s previous marriage with Monty Lopez ended in divorce after it was revealed that Monty Lopez had been cheating on her with a younger woman, causing them to divorce.
Easterling and Yung Gravy, who became a trending topic shortly after their VMAs debut, called it quits within two months of dating and that it was “very shortlived,” and the duo certainly wanted to get people talking with it. “Sheri definitely was interested in him and loved the attention but they both knew it wasn’t going to be anything serious,” a source close to Sheri told E! about their breakup.

Sheri and Yung’s romance was revealed in August after the couple not only walked the red carpet together at the 2022 Video Music Awards, but also indulged in PDA with a kiss. During his interaction with the media on the VMAs red carpet, the rapper also declared his romance with Easterling to be the “perfect match,” stating that he is “into MILFs, and she’s kind of the queen of MILFs.” According to Gravy, the former couple met online and instantly clicked.
Sheri Easterling and Monty Lopez’s history
Monty Lopez, Addison Rae’s father, was accused of cheating in July. After welcoming Addison and her two younger brothers, Monty and Sheri, who married in 2000, decided to divorce. However, the couple remarried in 2017. Earlier this year, a 25-year-old woman named Renée Ash claimed she had started a romance with Monty, 46. Following this, Easterling issued a statement stating that she will do everything in her power to protect her children despite the drama. Easterling was later seen changing her Instagram bio to “single mom,” confirming her divorce from Lopez.

Sheri, who has over 14 million TikTok followers, was seen flirting with the 26-year-old rapper Yung Gravy after declaring her single status. Yung Gravy also admitted on the BFFs Podcast that he and Sheri were sending each other wholesome DMs before their VMAs debut. The rapper claimed that “we’re just being cute” while revealing how they have been exchanging love via DMs. Gravy defended Easterling on Twitter after they made their romance official, as she faced backlash for her PDA-filled outing with him.
Addison Rae’s ‘mortified’ reaction
While Addison Rae did not make any public statements about the drama involving her parents or Easterling’s romance, Page Six reported that she was “mortified” by all of the drama involving her family and was overwhelmed given the ups and downs that have occurred. The She’s All That star unfollowed both her parents on social media after cheating allegations against her father went viral and the fallout between him and her mother. Yung Gravy also spoke about Rae saying that while he hasn’t spoken to her he felt bad for her and that Easterling has the “best intentions for her.”
Monty Lopez’s diss track for Yung Gravy
Monty Lopez posted a diss track for Yung Gravy after claiming that his ex-wife Sheri and his VMAs appearance bothered him. While he initially only posted a snippet of the song, Rae’s father later uploaded the entire song to YouTube. Monty titled the track “Leftovers” and tagged Yung Gravy in his post. Monty had also challenged Gravy to a boxing match several times in August.
Following the news of his divorce from Easterling, the Whip a Tesla singer is now rumored to be pursuing Try Guy’s Ned Fulmer’s wife Ariel Fulmer amid the news of the former’s cheating scandal. Redditors recently caught Ned Fulmer cheating on Ariel, which led to his dismissal from The Try Guys. Gravy recently posted a TikTok video showing Ariel Fulmer following him on Instagram just days after Ned admitted to cheating on her.
In the midst of it all, Addison Rae has been tweeting random things, such as “Making people smile makes me feel complete,” which she wrote on October 2. She later wrote, “Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry,” on the same day. She simply sent a red heart emoji on October 6.
